Mill House in Somerset is a pretty home with an old mill stream running alongside. The customer wanted to replace a rotting deck with a larger structure to include a bridge over the stream to give better garden access. We had a terrific time building this large Accoya deck for a lovely Somerset couple at their old mill home. The deck features a glazed skylight and rainproof cladding to make the space below useable in all weather. And there’s a bridge over the stream to a small BBQ platform and stairs into the garden.

• Use of Accoya deckboards, chemical and heat treated timber that has a 50 year guarantee, for uncompromising durability.
• Waterproofing of the dining space below the deck using polycarbonate sheeting.
• Addition of skylights for better lighting below deck.
• Beautiful Somerset Larch for the frame and balustrade with stainless steel cabling.
• A small bbq platform over the bridge and a log bench below.

We just got back from hols last night and it was fantastic to come back to the balcony finished and looking so brilliant. We had a good look round it and we are so delighted with how it has come out. We are really really happy with everything and so grateful to you and your team for all your hard work!

A boardwalk replacement for Bath and North East Somerset Council’s Parks department, completed to budget and to time, improving accessibility around a much loved local greenspace.

We are very happy with the finished boardwalk, which was completed to budget and time, and will improve accessibility around this much loved greenspace for the local community. Chris was enthusiastic and personable from the initial kick off call all the way through to project completion. Monkey Business were a pleasure to work with.

Bridge Renovation, Royal Victoria Park

A renovation of the ornamental bridge in Royal Victoria Park, Bath, rebuilt in durable timber to carry park visitors over the water while keeping the character of the original structure.

Your Park Social Seating

Bespoke social seating areas built for Your Park Bristol & Bath, part of a project to improve park facilities for teenage girls. The build involved significant logistics to bring large tree sections on site.

Chris designed and built several bespoke social seating areas for our project to improve facilities in parks for teenage girls. He and the team were responsive, undertook big logistical work to get large trees on site and finished the new seating areas to high standard. We - and teenage girls - are very pleased with the results.
